Emotional Intelligence: The New Science of Leadership

Breakthroughs in Emotional Intelligence research show us why our moods and actions have enormous impact on those we lead. In fact, Emotionally Intelligent leadership allows us to inspire, arouse passion and enthusiasm, and keep people motivated and committed. What’s more, Emotionally Intelligent leadership is not just the privilege of those with positional authority. Since leadership flows primarily from who we are as people, not from what we can demand from our position, every member of an organization has the potential to be a great leader, not because of positional power, but because of the interpersonal effectiveness that comes from developing emotional competence.

In this program participants will develop personal leadership skills by applying the competencies of Emotional Intelligence to those specific work related situations, where the ability to influence people and work effectively with others is vital to professional success. This workshop will introduce a variety of learning activities including small group discussion, teamwork activities, and one-on-one coaching.
