Emotional Intelligence: The New Science of Success

What are the factors that lead to success in life?  Not just financially, but in our relationships, in our health, and in our careers – what are the ingredients of success?

In the past, it was believed that academic achievement and intellectual potential (IQ) had a lot to do with success.  We now know that this is not the case.  Research shows that a person’s EQ is a greater predictor of success than a person’s IQ. Emotional Intelligence is highly linked to personal and professional accomplishment.

What do emotions have to do with success?  Well, have you ever let your emotions get the best of you in a certain situation?  Did you achieve from that situation what you had hoped?  Emotional intelligence refers to an individual’s ability to use his or her emotions intelligently.  It is the ability to understand what your emotions and the emotions of others are telling you and to choose appropriate action.

In this program you will explore your EQ and find out how well you handle yourself, your emotions, and your interactions with other people.
